THE SOUTH OLDHAM BASKETBALL CLUB

WHAT IS THE SOBC?

The South Oldham Basketball Club is a non-profit, parent led basketball association for students who attend elementary schools feeding into South Oldham High School. The club gives students interested in playing basketball an opportunity to play together year-round with their Oldham County peers. We are 100% run by volunteer parents looking to create a positive, educational basketball experience for the participants.

WHO CAN JOIN?

We offer teams for students in 1st through 5th grade. Eligible players will attend one of the schools feeding in to South Oldham High School.

The club helps dedicated kids improve the basic skills of dribbling, passing, and form shooting. Tryouts are handled through Open Gym Sessions. Click here to learn more.

WHAT'S THE COMMITMENT?

SOBC is forming multiple teams of kids who will play together throughout their elementary school years.  For those chosen to be on a team, practices and workouts will continue throughout the year.

We use the off-season to practice and improve basic basketball skills: playing together as a team, offense and defense, and more. This prepares our kids to compete in competitive school-team leagues and tournaments around the region during basketball season.

We understand kids play multiple sports and encourage it.  We will do our best to accommodate the schedules required of baseball, football, soccer and other school sports your child may enjoy.

Time and commitment level with vary by age and team.
